FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

The first of our four "Cakes and Coffee" mornings in the Church Porch got off to a flying start on Saturday, 5th June.  We had good support from visitors and villagers alike, and we raised £90 for the "Loo" Fund.  Our next "Cakes and Coffee" morning will be on Saturday, 3rd July from 10.30 a.m. until 12.30 p.m.  Everyone is very welcome, and the venue will be the same.  If you would like to make a cake for the stall you can either leave it with me at Shenburgh or bring it to the Church on the day.

EDITORS, PAST AND PRESENT

On behalf of the community, I wish to express our extreme gratitude to Justin Kibble for the most excellent way in which he has developed and edited our Newsletter over the past years.
To say that he has performed magnificently and with gusto in this role is not, I believe, an understatement. We wish Justin, Ingrid and Felix well, in whatever the future may hold.
At the same time we welcome Tony's tremendous offer of taking on the mantle as Editor, and we wish him every success and enjoyment in so doing.

RNLI: MAY BANK HOLIDAY MINI-FETE

In just two and a half hours the magnificent sum of £1277.07, minus some minor miscellaneous expenses, was raised on the 31st May. That equates to £8.50 every minute!
Although too numerous to name individually, the Branch wishes to express its thanks to everybody involved.

CHILDREN'S DRAMA WORKSHOP

For all those interested in creating a Drama Group to run during the Autumn term, there will be a short meeting on Sunday 11th July in the Village Hall Annexe at 4.00 p.m. Children of primary school age to be accompanied by a parent, please.
We are proposing to run 1 or 2 hour long sessions once a week depending on the number of participants and the age range. Cost will, also, depend on numbers and hiring charge. This is definitely non-profit making!
