LETTER FROM THE OLM
Many thanks to all those who made our Harvest celebrations such a success. Everyone seemed to agree that the Harvest Supper and the two Sunday services were very happy and joyful occasions. Although I was not at the Family Service in the morning, I understand that the young people who took part (not forgetting the trumpeter dad!), helped to make the service a really meaningful one. It is good to see so many getting involved - well done everyone. Please read Patsy Murray's notice, about the next Family Eucharist Service on 12th December. There are two services to which I would draw your attention. Our annual team All Souls Memorial Service will take place this year at St. Margaret's Church Reydon on Sunday 31st October, starting at 3.00 p.m. This is a service that gives people an opportunity to remember relatives and friends who have died in recent years. The other is our annual Remembrance Day service, which this year will be held at Holy Trinity Church Blythburgh, on 14th November, commencing at 10.45 a.m. The monthly Luncheon Club will be on Friday 12th November, 12.30 p.m. in the Village Hall. I do not like giving too much notice about things that are happening near to Christmas, but, because of the success of last year's December Luncheon Club, we shall have to ask people to book in advance for this year's extravaganza (?) - it will take place on Friday 10th December.
Yours, in Christ's service, Brian Fisher

Smartie Tube" Month
In another initiative to raise money for St. Andrew's Church, "Loo Fund", November is being designated as "Smartie Tube" month! From the beginning of November we will be giving away full tubes of Smarties to individuals and families for you to eat and enjoy. During the month we would then like you to refill the empty tubes with as many 20 pence pieces as you can muster from your spare change, etc., and return them to us at the end of November. Our endeavour is to have as many Smartie tubes brimming with 20 pence pieces as possible, however, any and all contributions will be very welcome. Please contact me if you would like to participate.
