League Of Friends Of Southwold Hospital

It seems fitting to reproduce a letter from Barbara Davis and to add that £840.87 was collected for the League.

"Dear Mary,
On behalf of the League of Friends, I'm writing to thank you and all your helpers for all the support you give to the hospital.
We do realise and appreciate the fact that to raise the wonderful sums of monies each year takes a deal of time and dedication. Walberswick always comes up trumps!
So, once again, our grateful thanks and we wish everyone a happy New Year.
Best wishes,
Sincerely,
Barbara,
Chairman"

RBL SUMMER VISIT - FRIDAY 24TH JUNE

In the absence of any other suggestions, I am floating the idea that we visit the new Royal Artillery Museum at Woolwich from 10.30 a.m. onwards, and then have lunch in the RA Officers' Mess (before Prescott tears down the Barracks (built in 1782), and uses the whole area, which includes the parade ground and playing fields, to build "affordable houses"! However, the bus company advises me that we would have to depart from Walberswick between 6 and 6.30 a.m., which makes it a very long day! The cost would be between £30 and £35 per head with 30 people travelling. If you would like to come (plus your friends), please let me know by 25th February, so that I can get on with making the arrangements.
