	M.N.D.A Garden Party It was a perfect afternoon for the Garden Party in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Research, at Dutch House on Saturday June 18th. Two hundred people came and enjoyed themselves in the sunshine. Many thanks to my friends and supporters who put up and manned the stalls, donated cakes and items for sale, made delicious scones, served teas and did the washing and tidying up. It was the best ever result and £1890.70 was raised on the day! Congratulations and thanks to all concerned. Mary King Children's Fun Sports Day The Trust will be sponsoring a fun sports day on Saturday, 6^th of August . All the usual races: egg & spoon, three-legged, sack, and some for the grown-ups too! Come along to the sports field at the end of Church Lane at 2 p.m. and join in the fun. Cold drinks provided. Jayne Tibbles, Clerk to the Trustees


	Village Fête - 27^th August 2005 William Bowyer RA, widely regarded as our most distinguished resident artist, has kindly agreed to open this year's event. Enclosed is a flyer listing all the stallholders who will gratefully receive any donations of clothes, plants, cakes, bric a brac or raffle prizes. Proceeds are divided equally between the Village Hall and St Andrew's Church. Details of the children's art competition and dog show are also enclosed.
