There is a change to the date of the Luncheon Club for September; it will now be on the 16^th i.e. the third Friday of the month. Contrary to popular belief the lunch is not just for senior citizens - for the August lunch we had 44 people of all ages sitting down to a very enjoyable two-course meal. People often ask Christine and myself how we cope with supplying meals for what is always an unknown number of people. Our response? We firmly believe that God will always supply sufficient for the day as long as we prepare wisely.
We have another village wedding to which to look forward this month. On the 17^th September, Nicola Waller and Sean Murphy will be married in St Andrew's. Please remember and pray for them in the preparations for their special day, and for their future lives together.
Our thanks to Julie Winyard and Simon Ward for running the weeklong holiday club last month. Thanks also to Julie for all the hard work that she puts into the weekly Sunday School. It was good to see so many children at our most recent Family Service. The corresponding service this month will be on 11^th September, which coincides with the day on which the Church nationally will be observing Racial Justice Sunday.
You may wish to book our harvest festival weekend in your diaries. The supper will be on Friday 7^th October, and the services on 9^th October.
