Apologies! Apologies!
We all thought that someone would do it, however, in the end nobody did! A belated big thank you must go to all those who gave their time and effort to provide such an entertaining 'Peter Panto', particularly to Julia Sowerbutts who masterminded the whole project. To see the delight on the youngsters' faces, when the crocodile appeared, was sheer magic! We are all eagerly looking forward to the next spectacular production. Well done to all of you!

We would like to thank everyone who came to Mum's memorial and for all the support the village has shown our family at this hard time.
Thank you. Nigel, Charlotte, Fiona and Betty Fisk
The 'David Shirreff' Bird Song Walk
This year's 'Walk' will take place on Saturday 29th April and Tony Lancaster will lead it, as last year. Please meet as usual at 5.30 a.m. in the Hoist Covert Car Park. (Contributions will again be shared equally between Walberswick Church and the Dingle Marshes Project.)
Breakfast At The Bell Hotel
Last year a few of the participants decided to round off the morning by taking breakfast at the Bell Hotel. After such early endeavours this proved to be a real high point, so much so that it was decided there and then to include it as an optional part of the event. For those wishing to do so this year, please make your reservation with the Bell prior to the Walk day.

Walberswick Film Club
We are beginning to get used to applause at the end of each film, and our Western, Red River, was no exception. Once again, the Village Hall resounded to Walberswickians thoroughly enjoying their Sunday Night Cinema! Our next film, 'Il Postino' will be shown on Sunday, the 9th of April, at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall. This is an Italian film made in 1995, but with the unusual combination of an English Director, Michael Radford. Starring Massimo Troisi and Philippe Noiret, it is a beautifully shot and intensely moving film about the development of an unlikely friendship. It is a charming tale based on the true story of the world-renowned Chilean poet and diplomat, Pablo Neruda. He has been exiled to a small island off the Italian coast. His popularity is such that he receives huge amounts of mail necessitating the employment of the young semi-illiterate postman, Mario. Slowly his visits become more than a delivery service as their friendship, based on mutual respect, blossoms. After some time Mario realises that most of the letters he delivers are from one person, a woman, and he decides to ask Pablo to help him woo the barmaid. Poetry, politics, humour, love, and heartbreak are combined in this production together with perfect characterisation, well-balanced pace and exquisite scenery. 'Il Postino' succeeds in being utterly captivating and convincing as the friendship grows between two men who outwardly couldn't be more different. Guests and non-members welcome.
