Walberswick Film Club
Congratulations and thank you to the committee of the Film Club for organising such an enjoyable and varied repertoire of films for us to view. Although it is easy to see videos and DVDs in the comfort of one's own home, it seems so much more fun to be part of an audience; especially when there is spontaneous applause at the end of a film! I'm sure we all look forward to the next season.

SANDERLINGS
"For murder, though it hath no tongue, will speak with most miraculous organ." "Hamlet" - W. Shakespeare
Our next play is an exciting world premier! A comedy thriller called "Murder Will Speak". This will take place in the Village Hall on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th of November. We require a cast of eight (5 men and 3 women). All the characters are over 45, except for one teenage girl and a 20-year-old boy. Auditions will be held at 'Lilliput' on Sunday 10th September, 3-6 p.m. Anyone interested in being involved, in any aspect of the production, is most welcome to come along.

Frank Jennings
The Walberswick Local History Society (WLHS) is carrying out research into the architect Frank Jennings; who built ten or so 'Arts and Crafts' style houses in the village during the first three decades of the 20th century. We are grateful for the generous cooperation shown by the owners we have approached so far, however, since the research is ongoing, we are seeking more help. Bill Ungless will be giving a lecture on the subject in October and, in order to be able to complete the work as comprehensively as possible, we are asking for anybody who might have any information on the life and work of Frank Jennings (who lived in the village until about 1930), to contact him either by: 'Phone: 01502 722655, or email: wungless@aol.com

We should be delighted to welcome visitors who may be interested in how to treat and restore their furniture. On 6th July we are holding a guided walk with English Nature - time yet to be announced. Suffolk East WI have organised a Posh Picnic at St Felix School, Southwold, on 12th July from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., which many of our members hope to join. Details in S.E. WI News for June 2006. Suffolk Historic Churches Trust 25th Sponsored Cycle Ride Saturday September 2006
Sponsorship forms are now available for this special anniversary cycle ride or walk round a local town. They can be collected from Blinkers, Stocks Lane or delivered to your door! Suggestions for the routes to take can be made to newcomers to the event. Volunteers are also needed to record cyclists visiting the church and can themselves be sponsored. Participating children must have parental permission or be accompanied by an adult. We look forward to your support to make this a bumper year.
